A preliminary work on the feasibility study for the channel $\bar p p \rightarrow D_s^- D_{s0}^*(2317)^+$ with the \PANDA~experiment is presented. A general overview of the main theoretical aspects and experimental results from the past experiments are given. The main problems and indetermination in the measurement of the cross section of this physics process from theoretical point of view, and the experimental challenge in performing the measurement of the width of the $ D_{s0}^*(2317)^+$, are shown. The original contribution of the \PANDA~experiment in this field is highlighted.
