The PANDA Detector Control System (DCS) has the purpose to monitor and control all the experimental equipment of the PANDA detector.
It shall ensure the safe and efficient operation of the PANDA experiment and contribute to the collection of high-quality data.

Building a DCS requires the cooperation of both DCS experts and experts from the individual PANDA subsystems. Therefore, this TDR explains the underlying concepts of the PANDA DCS, illustrates the main software choices and provides several examples from PANDA subsystem for the DCS on the subsystem level. Information on the design of the DCS of a particular subsystem can be found in the corresponding TDR and other publications of this subsystem.
